You are not alone in this

people have started this journey toward freedom

Step 1 — You Were Made for More

God loves you and created you for freedom, not bondage.

Whatever has a grip on you right now — however long it has held on — it is not the end of your story. God's design for your life is peace, purpose, and abundant life.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”

John 3:16

“I [Jesus] came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

John 10:10

So why does life feel like a cycle you can't break?

Step 2 — The Chains

Sin promises freedom and delivers slavery.

Addiction is what sin does when it settles in: it isolates, it demands more, and it separates us from God and from the people we love. You've probably tried to fix it yourself — white-knuckling, promises, fresh starts. So has everyone.

“Everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin.”

John 8:34

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Romans 3:23

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.”

Proverbs 14:12

No amount of effort bridges the gap… but One already did.

Step 3 — The Rescue

Jesus broke the chains you couldn't.

Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the grave. He paid the full penalty for your sin — every hidden thing included — and He has the power to set you free.

“But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 5:8

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

John 8:36

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

Galatians 5:1

God has made the way. Now the choice is yours.

Step 4 — Your Response

Receive Christ. Step into freedom.

  • Admit your need — you can't break free on your own.
  • Turn from your sin and ask God's forgiveness.
  • Believe Jesus died for you and rose from the grave.
  • Invite Him to take control of your life — including this struggle.

You can pray something like this, in your own words:

“Dear God, I admit I am a sinner and I cannot free myself. I turn from my sin and ask for Your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son, that He died for my sins, and that You raised Him to life. Jesus, come into my life and take control — even the parts I've kept hidden. Break these chains and lead me into freedom. I trust You as my Savior and will follow You as my Lord from this day forward. In Jesus' name, amen.”

Did you pray to receive Jesus Christ?
